Tuesday All Day Workshop Spotlight: Making Monsters 101 by Tom Devlin

HAuNTcon is pleased to present the following Advanced All-day Workshop,
Tuesday, January 28 – 9:00am-5:00pm
Making Monsters 101 – By Tom Devlin, 1313FX Fright Zone

Along with an invaluable amount of knowledge, each student will take home Tom Devlin’s custom T13 Airbrush by Paasche! This all day class will teach students the entire process of creating, applying, and painting a latex prosthetic. Students will sculpt and mold a piece, take a brief lunch break, then come back to class and learn how to use latex to make their creation into a working piece of art using airbrush and hand applied paint techniques.

Class size is restricted to 20 people – $200 per person, includes a box lunch.

Haunt Tour Spotlight: Sunday Night – KINGS ASYLUM and 3HAUNTS

The Sunday Night Haunt Tour is a two stop 5 attraction spooktacular starting with KINGWOOD ASYLUM and 3HaunTs.

If there was ever a place that held secrets and wounds, it would be the grounds of the Kingwood Asylum. The walls of the asylum hold stories that would make you question the limits of humanity, but the woods and the earth itself are tainted, ruined, and diseased. This 2 element event is the brainchild of Shayne Torrans of Brutal Rust (check out his booth on the HAuNTcon show floor) and is chocked full of highly detailed sets and illusions.

Our second stop is at Heart Stopper Fright’s 3HaunTs . The exact opposite approach of Kingwood Asylum, this down and dirty in your face 3 element event is a whopping 13 acres of Terror. Heart Stopper Fright is a living breathing monster that swallows hordes of guest only to spit them out a shivering shell of their former selves. Pyro, cramped spaces and an outdoor trail are in store for anyone brave enough to take a tour.
