It is said that public speaking can be people’s greatest fear, but I find that when I know the subject matter, really know what I am trying to say…that presenting a seminar is a lot of FUN!

HAuNTcon 2017 will be held at the Sheraton Music City Hotel and Conference Center in Nashville Tennessee January 28- 30. The 2 day pre-show haunt tour will kick off Wednesday the 25th (Haunts to be announced).
Education and trade show Friday January 27 through Sunday January 29th, with the all day advanced education on Monday January 30th. As always, all seminars are included in the price of the conference and there are over 50 hours of creative, business, demo and workshop sessions to choose from over the 3 days of haunter education. (Workshops require a materials fee and there is an up charge for the Monday all day advanced sessions.)

So you’re bummed because you couldn’t get to Birmingham for the HAuNTcon 2016 Preshow Tour. You’ve seen all the post and haunters seeing GREAT haunts and having the times of their lives. If there had only been a way that you would miss only one day of work you could have gone. Well it’s not too late! Due to popular demand, HAuNTcon is offering the second day of the preshow tour as a stand alone ticket.
Purchase tickets ONLINE HERE or in person Thursday January 28th and bee on the bus by 8:30 am to join in the fun! The first stop is Sloss Furnace. If you have ever wanted to know what a boiler room or industrial haunt should look like, this is it! Bring your camera and extra memory and tour the depths of this 1800’s pig iron-producing blast furnace.
Back on the bus for a short trip to Arlington Mansion, a former Greek Revival
plantation house on 6 acres of landscaped gardens. Attendees will tour the antebellum two-story frame structure was built between 1845–50 and features period furnishings.
The next stop is the Desoto Caverns, home of the Tomb of the Risen Dead in October. Attendees will tour the magnificent caverns that are turned into a haunted attraction each October. Giving attendees an opportunity for photos of the inside of a realistic cave.
After a quick lunch, attendees are back on the buses for a short trip to Hellbilly Hollow trail and haunted house. Now it its 4th season this three element event (the corm maze will not be available for this off season tour), is growing in popularity and reputation for great scares.
The last stop is a rare opportunity for a lights on backstage tours of the two attractions at Warehouse 31, Rigamortis and the 3-D
Experience. These massive high detail shows will also be offered in full actor October style mode during the Saturday Night Haunt Tour of Warehouse 31 on Jan 30th.

Zombies are still HOT in TV, film and haunted attractions across the country. Now in it’s 7th season, The Walking Dead is leading that trend, and the actors who play the undead on the television show have become celebrities themselves. Have you ever wondered how to get on the show as a walker? Now’s your chance to find out!
Walkers Stephanie Harp, Michael Jaegers and Kent Wagner will not only be at HAuNTcon 2016 to meet fans, sign autographs and take photos with attendees, but they will also be offering a glimpse into what it’s like to be a walker, how they are trained to be walkers at the show, and how you can audition for the show. Atlanta based actor Stephanie Harp, has appeared as a walker on The Walking Dead in Seasons 4, 5 and 6. She can also be spotted on The Originals, Vampire Diaries, The Have and Have Nots, Red Band Society, Complications and the latest Vacation movie. She has worked as a background actor on over 30 film and TV productions including The Hunger Games Mockingjay 1 & 2, Dumb and Dumber To, For Better or Worse, The Red Road, Halt & Catch Fire, Containment and Cell. Married for 14 years, Stephanie has 2 children.
Michael Jaegers has been in the TV/film industry since 2008 and has since done featured work for many productions. He worked with The Farrelly Brothers twice on Hall Pass and Dumb & Dumber Too, The Hunger Games Catching Fire, Stephen King’s Cell, ABC’s Resurrection, The Vampire Diaries, and of course AMC’s The Walking Dead. During his time on The Walking Dead he portrayed close to 20 different walkers and has been killed by 7 different cast members. Recently one of his scenes was named one of the most brutal kill scenes on The Walking Dead. As you can see, his passion for this industry is unparalleled.
Kent Wagner is an Atlanta based actor who has portrayed significant monster roles on over 50 shows and movies including The Walking Dead, Sleepy Hollow, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and Powers. Feature films include The Hunger Games Mockingjay 1 & 2, Captain America Civil War, Stephen King’s The Cell, Insurgent, and The Sunday Horse with William Shatner. Kent has appeared in monster roles on The Walking Dead, The Vampire Diaries, Sleepy Hollow, Stephen King’s Cell and an Independent film titled Test Group.
On The Walking Dead in Season 5 Kent was a Hero Walker in the much acclaimed season premier No Sanctuary. In the season’s 4th episode Slabtown. Kent played a brief survivor as a patient in a hospital bed that was taken off life support, stabbed in the head to kill the potential walker then after a ride down a hallway on a gurney, he was the first victim thrown down the elevator shaft at Grady Memorial Hospital. Kent was also featured as a walkers in Robert Kirkman’s Skybound produced The Walking Dead Experience. An interactive group challenge currently touring the country.
